On September 13, 2018, the NCCN® hosted a policy summit entitled, Policy Challenges and Opportunities to Address Changing Paradigms in Cancer Care Delivery. The summit reported on the findings and recommendations of the Working Group, discussed the current challenges to the cancer care workforce under shifting health care reform priorities, and addressed ways in which stakeholders across the oncology landscape can implement best practices.

Prior to the summit, a Working Group convened to gather information on the current policies regarding cancer care delivery and the cancer care workforce in response to health care systems moving towards team-based integration and greater coordination of care. The Working Group then proposed recommendations for short-term and long-term policy strategies to address identified gaps and opportunities related to the cancer care delivery and workforce.

An article will be published in the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network―JNCCN.
